Responsibilities 


Regulation ​monitoring

•            ​Monitor ​and interpret ​relevant domestic / global ​product ​safety standard ​(e.g., KC standard, ​ISO standard, ​etc.) ​for raw ​material ​safety ​testing

•            Monitor changes ​in ​general domestic regulation ​and ​find ​potential impacts to ​supply chain ​operations. ​(e.g., labeling, ​country of ​origin, ​price indicating, etc,.)

•            ​Monitor and ​interpret relevant domestic regulation for specific product requirements related Food and

KC certification (e.g., consumer product, imported food / food container, electrical product, chemical product etc.)

•            Monitor relevant domestic regulation for environmental & sustainability policy (e.g., EPR(Extended Producer Responsibility), waste charge, recycling packaging material etc.)


Product certification

•            Verify product import/export processes and relevant requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant authorities’ requirements, specific documentation within supply chain process

•            Responsible for overall management of Korea Certification (KC) and safety verification activities on

product and the process (i.e. consumer product, imported food / food container, electrical product, chemical product etc.)

•            Implement raw material safety testing of textile, fur, leather, synthetic resins item.

•            Liaise with external regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and testing laboratories to facilitate product approvals and certifications.

•            Maintaining the relationship with all service provider by regular / irregular meetings


 Analyzing & Reporting

•            Report non-compliance issue promptly to Logistics & Warehouse Director and carry out investigation, follow-up improvement actions with HQ Industrial Sustainability & Product Compliance Team

•            Provide updates on product compliance regulations to Logistics & Warehouse Director and HQ

Industrial Sustainability & Product Compliance Team

•            Verify the conformity requirements with the authorities, consultants and local referrals for the

Korean market

•            Analyze the competitors’ behavior and Korean market trend for the conformity of product (i.e. labeling, product safety, certificates, etc.)

•            Track and report on changes in relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and communicate potential impacts to Logistics & Warehouse Director

•            Implement of product recall procedures and corrective actions in case of non-compliance

•            Provide monthly report for compliance activity to Logistics & Warehouse Director

•            Support Logistics & Warehouse Director to train and guide internal teams on product compliance


 Sustainability

•            Responsible for sustainability activities implementing EPR(Extended Producer Responsibility)

and Waste charges for every year

•            Ensure compliance with material safety, labeling, packaging for environmental regulations across all

markets


Cross functional

•            Coordinate with Legal, Logistics, Retail operation, and Merchandising teams to ensure compliance is

embedded in operations

•            Coordinate with relevant colleagues to investigate and make a solution of customer complaints or incidents related to product compliance

•            Coordinate with Logistic, Merchandising, Event, CRM, and Communication team to verify relevant

requirements and support on-time customs clearance for successful launching of new products

•            Implement monthly store auditing process from the compliance standpoint with relevant teams (i.e. open price system, country of origin / Korean labeling monitoring etc.)



Requirements


Core

  • University graduate with a degree
  • 7+ years of experience in product compliance in the fashion, luxury, or consumer goods industry.
  • General knowledge of production and supply chain process
  • Ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements and to apply them to business practices 
  • Ability to prompt analyzing / reporting new regulation and non-compliance issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cross functional teams and external regulatory agencies, certification bodies and governmental institutions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both written and spoken Korean/English
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint


Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Chemistry
  • 7+ years of experience in product testing / KC certification operation for food or consumer products (e.g., electrical products, chemical products, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of international trade compliance and standardization is a plus.
  • ERP familiarity, SAP expertise preferred
