JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Retail Merchandising Manager for the Accessories and Eternal Gold categories is responsible for driving category performance through strategic product selection, inventory planning, and in-depth sales analysis. The role works closely with HQ, store teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure optimal product assortment, timely replenishment, and alignment with the brand’s direction and commercial objectives. This position is instrumental in translating global strategies into localized, actionable plans to maximize sales and profitability in the designated categories.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the merchandising planning and assortment strategy for the Leathergoods Accessories category, ensuring alignment with both commercial goals and brand direction.
  • Support buying activities by analyzing past performance, identifying product opportunities, and preparing for seasonal buying sessions.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, replenishment, and product lifecycle to ensure consistent availability and sell-through across stores.
  • Work closely with HQ, logistics, and retail operations to ensure timely product flow and optimal distribution based on store profiles and performance.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Marketing to enhance in-store storytelling and product visibility, particularly for key seasonal collections and launches.
  • Integrate the Eternal Gold fine jewelry category into overall merchandising strategies—supporting assortment planning, sales analysis, and store readiness for this high-value, sustainability-focused line.
  • Deliver insightful sales and stock analysis, identifying underperforming products and recommending proactive actions such as transfers, markdowns, or tailored communication.

 

  • Provide product knowledge and seasonal training support to store teams, ensuring frontline staff are equipped to communicate the brand story and product value—especially for categories with elevated client service expectations, like fine jewelry.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor movements to continuously enhance the relevance and competitiveness of the assortment.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retail merchandising or buying, preferably within the luxury or premium fashion/accessory sector.
  • Proven track record in managing leather goods, accessories, or fine jewelry categories is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of buying processes, assortment planning, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to interpret sales data, forecast trends, and manage inventory.
  • Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Sensitivity to luxury product positioning, customer behavior, and sustainability messaging (especially for Eternal Gold).
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the luxury retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with HQ.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and results-driven.
  • Fluent in English and Korean (written and spoken).
