Buying Process 

Participation ​in ​the ​Master Selection ​for the category of ​responsibility ​in Milan ​(when required by ​HQ Merchandising)

Provide ​feedback ​to the ​Group ​on ​the collection and ​product ​development to maximize ​business ​potential ​in the region.

Review ​the budget ​and ​buy for ​the respective ​category ​for Direct & ​DF channels, ​control the broadness and depth of the buy and merchandising mix to ensure brand direction is followed while balancing and maximizing the commercial and business potential. 

Negotiation of OTB with HQ Merchandising / Planning in case of budget issues

Consolidation of regional order to present to HQ Merchandising

Participation in order reviews (order comments) by local buyers and HQ Directors

Managing the order entry process (MOT, Master file)


In-season performance management 

Monitoring sell-thru, consolidating and proposing reorder requests as necessary.

Frequent communication with HQ MD regarding sales and sell-thru performance to ensure achievement of targets/objectives.

Overseeing deliveries to ensure satisfactory stock levels and sales performance.

Co-ordinate merchandise replenishment for all shops to ensure shops are properly merchandised.

Update and provide quantitative information on monthly sales targets, stock delivery situation, and new merchandise delivery situation to all stores.

Preparing, checking, and approving replenishment, and special merchandise transfer for all store locations

Prepare stock requisition to ensure timely delivery of merchandise for all store locations.

Prepare Weekly / Monthly reports/ Business review to be presented to HQ MD   

 

Market intelligence 

Consolidate and aid in the elaboration of the Competitor’s Market Trend Report sent to HQ

Provide constant product feedback and ideas for development to HQ Merchandising

 

New store openings 

Examine projects briefs provided by Engineering and validate or revise all Merchandising Plans before sending them to HQ. 

Coordination of new store orders with HQ MD

Follow-up on delivery of merchandise for openings

Physical presence to support new openings as required.

Ensure that proper product training and knowledge is provided to the shop staff. (that is relevant to the merchandise actually received) Follow-up on new store performance and corrective action as required as to the product mix, stock level etc.


Product knowledge

 Ensure that proper product training is conducted for the sales personnel

Preparation of seasonal product training materials to be sent to all stores.

Supporting and coordinating local training 


Visual merchandising

 Co-ordinate with Visual Merchandising team, verify the visual aspects from an image as well as commercial point of view.

Oversight of VM guidelines and their application within the region


Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred. 

At least more than 5 years of working experience in this role and in relevant field of the Luxury / Fashion industry. 

Excellent data analysis and data-driven decision-making skills. 

Ability to work collaboratively in an environment of retail team and stores. 

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Strong sense of accountability and reliability. 

Proficient in written and spoken in both English and Korean.
